隠れ名車？といわれているヤマハSDRを足に使っていた私ですが、引っ越し直前になってエンジン不調になってしまいました。原因はクランクケースのシールが抜けたためと思われ、時間も迫っていたので、バイク屋さんに修理を依頼したまま東京においてきたのですが、やっと「直ったよ」という連絡が。室蘭は割と駅の間隔が短く、バス路線も張り巡らされてはいるのですが、いかんせん本数が少なく（室蘭に限りませんが）非常に不便です、東京でもあまり電車は利用していなかった私としては、なおさら不便感が大きく、早速引き取りに行ってきました。
ところが、引き取ってしばらくすると、どうも具合がよろしくない、バイク屋さんに逆戻り、結局CDIの不調らしく、部品を交換。15年以上前のバイクとあって、あちこちがたがきているらしい。出ないパーツもぼちぼちあるようです、タイア交換しようとしたら、リアのサイズが一種類しかなく、銘柄を選べないではありませんか。SDRもいよいよ旧車の仲間入りとなってしまったようです。水冷だし、17インチだし、サスも1本だし…私の中ではかなり今風のバイクだと思っていたのですが、これも時代の流れですな。
