多くのバイクは、チェーンドライブが採用されています。シャフトドライブや、ベルトドライブのバイクもありますが、レーサーに至ってはほとんどがチェーンドライブです。バイクの特徴ともいえるメカニズムなので、みなさん、一生懸命作りましょう。ほんとは結構地味なパーツなんですけど、ゴムや、プラスチックのヒモの様なパーツではなく、本当にチェーンの形をしていると、かなりメカっぽくなること請け合いです。
以前は接着剤を使って組み立てる方法を紹介していましたが、今回は、接着剤未使用で、組み立てる方法を紹介します。ちょっと面倒ですが、接着剤で汚れることもありませんので、みなさんも挑戦しましょう。

As for many motorcycles, a chain drive is adopted.It reaches a racer, and most is a chain drive though there is a motorcycle of the shaft drive and the belt drive, too.Let's make everyone very hard because it is the mechanism which can be said as the characteristics of the motorcycle as well.Though they are plain parts, they are not parts like a string of the rubber and the plastic, but it is guaranteeing to become a Mechanical な feeling very much when it really has the shape of the chain.Though the method built up by using the adhesive was introduced before, a method to build up this time by the adhesive un-use is introduced.Everyone should try it because it never becomes dirty with the adhesive though it is a little troublesome, too.

内側のコマを黒染め液で染めておきます。

An inside frame is dyed with a black dyeing liquid.

接着剤を使用する場合は、0.4〜0.5ミリの虫ピンを使用しますが、かしめる場合は、0.55〜0.6ミリのシルクピンを利用します。左が0.55ミリ、右が0.6ミリのものです。

The silk pin of 0.55〜 0.6mm is used when it is tightened though the insect pin of 0.4〜 0.5mm is used when adhesive is used.The left is 0.55mm. The right is 0.6mm.

ピンを穴に入れます。0.6ミリを使用する場合は、かなりきついので、怪我をしないように、気をつけましょう。このサイズのピンになると、頭が大きいのですが、後でカットしますので、根元まで入れないようにします。

A pin is put in the hole.Let's be careful that it doesn't get hurt because it is very severe when you use 0.6mm.It tries not to put it to the root because it is cut later though a head is big when it becomes the pin of this size.

順番にパーツを組んでいきます。

Parts are assembled in turn.

地道に、必要な長さになるまで、組み立て続けます。

It keeps assembling it until it becomes steadily necessary length.

長くなると、作業がしにくいので、分割して組み立てましょう。

Let's divide it, and assemble it because work is hard to do when it gets long.

ニッパ等で、頭の部分をカットし、カットした側にパーツを揃えます。カットした断面はつぶれていますので、パーツが抜けなくなります。

Parts are completed at the side which the part of the head was cut from and which was cut.Because it is crushed, parts stop passing through the cut section.

逆側もカットしますが、両端は残しておきます。

Both ends are left though a reverse side is cut, too.

細いペンチ等で押さえながらピンを叩いて、かしめます。強く叩くと、歪みますので、注意してください。

A pin is struck and tightened though it is control with thin cutting pliers and so on.Be careful because it warps when you strike it strongly.

分割していたパーツを繋ぎます。両端以外はピンをカットし、かしめておきます。

Divided parts are connected.
A pin is cut except for both ends and tightened.

仮組します。かしめる場合は、継ぎ足す方が楽なので、短めに作っておき、足りない分を後で足します。この場合3コマ足します。

Temporarily, it is assembled.
The share which is made short and which be short of is added later because the one that it is succeeded and to add is easier when is tightened.
3 frame is added in this case.

ジョイント用の両端のピンは、互い違いになるように組み立てます。

The pins of both ends for the joint are assembled to become alternately.

フレームに通し、両端をジョイントします。

It is passed through the frame, and a joint does both ends.

スプロケットギアに嵌めて完成です。

It is put in the sprocket wheel gear, and it is completion.
