Although it is a noted vehicle supporting-large record called seven successive victories in 1966- 1972 of Agostini at 500 cc class name in the train, since there are few data, comparatively famous , it is troubled. There are very few photographs of those days spread if not only 3 cylinders but this MV Agsuta of those days has pierced through remarkable secretiveness. Although it also has the overwhelming strength of Agostini + Agusta and is considered for there to have been nothing pleasantly somehow, when this time is seen without Agostini, various interesting machines and others, such as Norton, Matchless, Seeley, Rickman, Paton, Lint, and Aermacchi,CZ --, have fought for it, and it is very much interesting. [ of machines ] Although it is overwhelming strength, since two years of the beginning are the champion who competes with 4 cylinders of Honda, they are worthy. Is the place of MV Agsuta which there is not in improving 4 cylinders to the powerful appearance of HONDA, and opposing it, developed 3 cylinders, and fought till then although fought by 4 cylinders beautiful somehow? The idea resembles NS in which Honda appears behind.
It seems that it was thought in the development spot that 4 cylinders would be used as a base although it was developing a small and lightweight machine, since having become 3 cylinders had Agostini short in stature. However, although a Chief Domenico Agusta is charmed by the once speed of 3 cylinder of DKW, the command "make 3 cylinders" went down and group of technical experts persuaded "They do not become the same thing since thats are two strokes" It is said that it was scolded again, saying, "It is two valve in what nowadays", and was done although it did not comply, but it roared out, saying "2 Four strokes must be sufficient at a stroke" and 3 cylinders of two valves were reluctantly made if good. If it is called 3 cylinders, although it is minor touch in the halfway number of cylinders, no less than four strokes have many machines called noted vehicle as it is unexpected to no less than two strokes. It was also 3 cylinders of TZ reconstruction that the above-mentioned NS, DKW, the Triumph Trident &BSA Rocket 3 , Kawasaki H1, H2 grade, and Katayama gained the champion. Does whether it can be called a noted vehicle have Modenas (proton)KR3 and Aprilia something recently as another? the back, though 3 cylinders was peculiar and sorry about sound, although the sound of 3 cylinder of Agusta had not been heard, probably, there was surely good sound -- when the time of having fought with Honda is imagined, the person who is real time and was seen is very enviable When it was lightweight and compact and was called 3 cylinders, from the low speed, it was thick, and at the interview after Agostini, very much, by the peaky, there is no low-speed torque and torque had said that it was the thing which will be easy to ride and which cannot ride easily, although imagined.
